Choose a communication mode
Start with the AAC keyboard. If you cannot use hands โ try Blink mode (camera) or Breath mode (microphone) or Gaze keyboard (eye tracking).

Type or look at keys, press Speak Aloud
Your message is read in your chosen voice. The message box stays until you clear it โ repeat as needed.

For people with ALS, locked-in syndrome, or anyone who cannot use their hands. Just look at the camera and blink โ no special equipment needed. Works on any phone or tablet.

For people who cannot control their eyes reliably but can breathe voluntarily. A short puff = YES, a long blow = NO. Coughs are automatically ignored so they don't cause false responses.

Allow microphone & calibrate
Tap Start microphone. Stay silent for 2.5 seconds โ the app measures background noise level. This sets the detection threshold for your environment.

Exhale to communicate
Exhale near the device microphone. The coloured visualiser bars show what the app hears: green = breath detected, orange = cough ignored.

๐กSensitivity slider: Use 1โ3 for ventilator users with very weak breath. Use 7โ10 for noisy environments. Tap Recalibrate after moving to a different room.

Type using only your eyes. Three modes in one โ Scan+Blink (most reliable), Dwell (look at key to type), and Head Tilt (tilt to navigate). Replaces a ยฃ3,000 Tobii eye tracker using your phone's front camera.

Keyboard rows highlight automatically one by one. Blink to select a row, then blink again to select a key. Works even with imprecise eye tracking.

Allow camera โ calibrate (9 dots)
Look at each pulsing blue dot for 2 seconds until it turns green. Keep head still, only move eyes.

Tab shows โฌ Scan (Blink) โ leave it on this
Rows highlight in sequence every 1.2 seconds.

When your target row highlights โ BLINK
Keys in that row now highlight one by one.

When your target key highlights โ BLINK
Key is typed. Last row contains โซ Del, Space, ๐ Speak, โ Clear.
โMessage stays after speaking โ tap โ Clear only when ready to type something new. This lets you repeat the same message if the carer didn't hear it.
๐ Dwell mode
Look at any key for the dwell time (default 1.2s) โ a blue fill bar fills from left to right. When full, the key types. Requires accurate calibration.

Tilt head left to move backward through rows/keys. Tilt right to move forward. Hold for ~0.3 seconds to trigger. Nod down to select. No iris tracking needed โ extremely reliable.
Real example โ Late-stage ALS
Adi retains only head movement. She uses Head Tilt mode. Tilts right 3 times โ Row 1 (Q W E R...) โ Row 2 โ Row 3. Nods to enter Row 3. Tilts right to Z โ X โ C... โ finds her key. Nods โ key typed. Slow but 100% reliable โ no eye strain, no calibration needed.

Indian Sign Language (ISL) Recognition
Sign letters AโZ using your hand in front of the camera. The app recognises your hand gesture and types the letter โ no hardware, no special equipment needed.

How to use

Open Sign Language mode

Allow camera access
Tap Start camera and allow camera permission. Hold your hand clearly in the camera frame, palm facing the camera.

Sign a letter
Form an ISL letter gesture with your hand. The detected letter appears highlighted in the alphabet grid with a confidence percentage.

Letter types automatically
In Hold mode, keep the gesture still for 1.5 seconds โ a green ring fills up and the letter types automatically. Build up a word.

Press Speak
When your message is complete, press ๐ Speak. The message is spoken aloud and logged to the caregiver dashboard.

Choose pause time (0.5sโ3s) between phrases. Name and save the story for reuse.

Record phrases
Tap microphone button. Say the phrase. Tap Stop. Listen back and Save or re-record.

Settings โ Voice โ My voice (banked). The keyboard now uses your banked voice for matched phrases.
